Favorite Things

This is mostly just stuff for, I dunno, grown ups so it may be kinda boring...? I also decided to stick my favorite websites on this page as well.

Now, I don't use Amazon any more - I actually had to reactivate my account while making this page just to log in since it was so inactive - but I purchased the items here back in 2021 (or earlier!). However a lot of criticisms againt the company have come out since then, mainly about how they treat their workers, so I stopped using the site after I found that out. Also, I'm not trying to shame anyone that uses Amazon. It does have a lot of programs and discounts for students as well as people that, for example, have EBT cards. Just shop responsibly and be mindful of what you buy. Nevertheless, I recommend looking at this page for a very long and detailed list of Amazon alternatives!

Feel free to use any of the images here, just don't direct link.

Clothing and Accessories

SaphiRose Unisex Rain Poncho Hooded Waterproof Raincoat for Adults Women

This is what I use when it's raining outside and I have to stay outside with the dogs at work. Thick enough to withstand any nails from jumping dogs but light enough to be comfortable. I have the yellow color. :)

ASOS Oversized Sweatshirt

(I had to crop the model's face off because I had trouble with remove.bg.) I haven't purchased one of these in a long time because they last forever and don't shrink. They're soooo comfy. I always go a size higher for maximum comfort but that's just my personal preference. They're pretty true to size. I like to wear these as loungewear or over leggings. (I still love the oversized top/slim pants combo, don't care if it's out of style.)

Large Woven Shoulder Hobo Bag

I'm surprised that this bag is still going strong for me! It looks... kinda cheap in the pictures, I suppose but it's very sturdy and has quite a few deep pockets inside. The strap is awfully long and can't be adjusted but it works for me. The colors, even though my bag has faded colors from use and/or age, remind me of Rin from Yuru Camp. :) (I'm watching the second season as I make this page.)

Health and Beauty

Majestic Bombay Fine Point Tweezers

Not the brand that I'm using right now but I did have these at one time. I actually lost them when I travelled to my sister's wedding and I'm still sore about that... anyway, tweezers with sharp points like this are so useful when it comes to getting rid of those stray eyebrow hairs I get! Just go slowly and be mindful of the ends because they are very sharp!

NIVEA Creme Body, Hand and Face Moisturizing Cream

I don't use this on my face, it's SUPER thick and heavy. But it works well especially when I apply it after taking a shower. Has a nice semi-citrus scent too.

Sugarfree Peppermint Mints

I'm not linking to any website because you can find these anywhere plus I'm not loyal to the brand, haha. The mints just have to be sugar free. Also, gum won't work. I have these listed here because they do wonders when I have gut problems (which I've had all my life it seems) to the point that I get ill. It's not a miracle cure but the peppermint does help for a bit. Peppermint tea works even better but I can't exactly take a break from work to go make tea in the office's kitchen. Plus peppermint tea makes me cough a lot for some reason? Maybe I drink it too fast. I'm not much of a tea person.

Wet Wipes

Again, any brand will do. I usually work two shifts a day at my job and sometimes I'm too exhausted to take a shower between shifts. If I'm sweaty these are a lifesaver. I don't use these all the time of course and during the winter I barely touch them. Also, don't flush these!

Friendly Swede Stress Balls for Adults

These are really nice and sturdy, I've had them for a long time now and they're still firm.

Yardley London Oatmeal Almond Soap

Love the scent of this soap and it's always cheap at the supermarket.

Goods for the Home

Standard/Queen Machine Washable Overfilled Plush Bed Pillow - Room Essentials

A recent buy for me, decided to purchase this because I needed a new pillow and it was pretty cheap. It's amazingly soft yet not too soft for my taste. I never know if I like firm or soft support for my pillows so this is a great find.

All Season Comforter Down Alternative Filling, Machine Washable

I dunno, I've just been buying these comforters from Target for years so... yeah.

Wool Dryer Balls - Smart Sheep 6-Pack - XL Premium Natural Fabric Softener

These things are amazing! You only need one per dryer load and they last FOREVER. I'm still using the ones I purchased back in early 2021! However, and it's probably just me, they get lost easily if you don't keep an eye on it. I'm sure I have a few of the missing ones rolled back behind my dryer. OMG and they even have ones with cute animals printed on them!

48"x72" 12-15lbs Weighted Blanket

Not the exact same blanket that I have but the one at my home is no longer availible. Both are 15 pounds though. I gotta be honest, the main issue with weighted blankets is that there's NO WAY to put it in the washer to clean it. I haven't slept with my weighted blanket in a long time because I can't find a good way to clean it. Still, it does work for anxiety so give it a go if you want to try a weighted blanket. It feels even better in winter when it's between two comforters.

Electronics

iBUYPOWER Gaming PC Computer Desktop Element 9260 (Intel Core i7-9700F 3.0Ghz, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti 6GB, 16GB DDR4, 240GB SSD, 1TB HDD, Wi-Fi & Windows 10 Home)

Another 2021 purchase so it's not the best now but who cares, it still works for me. I did buy it A LOT CHEAPER so I would look for a more recent model if you're interested in a gaming PC that you can easily set up (because all the components are already set up inside the tower for you). The mouse died on me about a year ago but the keyboard is still working! I never could figure out how to change or even turn off the color gradient.

Toshiba Canvio Basics 2TB Portable External Hard Drive USB 3.0, Black

A godsend when it came to moving files from my old computer to the one I'm using linked above. And it's pretty cheap, it's usually around $114.

Samsung Galaxy S21 FE 5G

My phone! Plays games pretty well and has a lot of storage. My two main complains would be that the camera is pretty shit and the volume of people talking to you over the phone is pretty bad as well. Other than those issues I have no complaints.

JLab GO Air Pop True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds

These work extremely well and are extremely cheap. I actually just re-purchased a set of these because I messed up and damaged the mesh cover over the speaker (lmao i dunno what it's called) but that's 100% my fault. If you take care of these they last a very long time. It's not a soundproof model but it blocks out sounds like multiple dogs barking pretty well.

Pets

Nature's Miracle Dog Stain and Odor Remover

You don't NEED to purchase this brand, I suppose, but it's commonly availible at grocery stores so it's easy to come across. The main thing about pet stain removers is that you need to buy something that has that 'enzymatic' formula - the enzymes in the fluid works wonder on stains. I actually have a bottle at my house that I never use since my cat is good about not making messes but this is the brand I used when I had elderly dogs.

HandsOn Pet Grooming Gloves

Okay, so I used to use similar gloves like this with my old Golden Retriever years ago but that's actually not what I use the pair I have now for! Gloves like these are amazing when it comes to bathing dogs since it gets the shampoo all into the all but the thickest dog hair. ... I actually purchased these gloves to groom my cat but he just liked to bite the nubs so that plan didn't work.

Rocco & Roxie Dog Bitter Spray Deterrent Anti Chew Repellent

It really works! My cat decided to bite through the HDMI cable on my computer not once but twice so I bought this out of frustration. No more biting! Also, it's probably my fault for not playing with him as much, this happened when I was slammed with work a few months ago (Summer 2024) and was too tired to even pick up a cat toy. I'm sorry Big Frank!

Millers Forge Large Dog Nail Clipper

The GOAT when it comes to clipping nails. Well, in my opinion, this has always worked for me. Too big for my cats' nails but can work on smaller dogs if their nails aren't too tiny.

Stainless Steel Comb

Always good to have on hand for both dogs and cats. Make sure that the base is sturdy and doesn't bend, cheaper models can do that after a while.

Websites

A Fine Start

Been my new tab/landing page for Firefox for YEARS. Super simple and easy to use as well as fast.

Catbox

I use this site when I'm making webpages that I don't think I'll finish... and then when I commit to finishing it I'll upload the pictures to Neocities. It's been really slow for me lately.

FOOL LOVERS

The GOAT of all sozai sites.

Raindrop

What I use instead of Pocket. More responsive and customizable.

remove.bg

Worked great with making the PNGs for this page!

ThredUp

Where I buy my clothing now. Cheap as hell and good for the planet! The clothes look much better in real life, I must say - the photos on the site often show the garment wrinkled but when I get them in the mail they've been ironed out.
