• Amazing story. It's really the only fictional story that I can think of that uses time travel antics in a way that I can follow.
• Equally amazing characters. My three favorites are Frog, Ayla and Robo! (Also my end game team, which I've never seen anyone else use before... they do have a triple tech but you have to equip a stone to access it) I don't think there's any characters that I dislike.
• And the soundtrack? Amazing. (Alright, I'll stop repeating myself.)
• The Kingdom of Zeal is my favorite video game area of all time. It's just so damn cool to explore!

• Some of the end game dungeons in the DS and Steam remakes are boring and repetative.

• Very, very cute and likeable characters! My five top favorites right now are Cocoa Cookie, Strawberry Cookie, Parfait Cookie, Almond Cookie and Latte Cookie. Space Doughnut is a very close runner up so I added him below too. :)
  
• LOTS of things to do. Dailies take a longer time to complete than other gacha games.
• Something I never see mentioned is how good the voice acting is. I haven't heard a single voice in the game that doesn't fit the character.
• I thought a game about sentinent cookies would be pretty basic and simple, but the plotlines are very well done and easy to follow. There's even some plot twists that took me by surprise.

• The addition of the... cookie religion (?) plotline for the Tower of Sweet Chaos is kinda weird.
• I don't like that all the cookies you can use in battle only have ONE LINE to say, especially since the voice acting in the game is pretty top notch. It's a pretty minor thing, I suppose, but hearing "I NEED A DRINK!!" (Vampire Cookie...) and "I CANNOT... HOLD BACK!!" (Blueberry Pie Cookie...) multiple times a minute can get grating.
• I did mention the Starlight cookie gacha drama in the negative section below but I removed it because it seems like the developers got it right with the Pitaya Dragon gacha.

• As with every single gacha game out there, it's extremely transaction heavy. I've only paid for a $1.99 'beginner's pack' that was pretty decent but I would recommend looking up the best packages to buy if you're interested in purchasing any "deals". The game doesn't seem as P2W (pay-to-win) as some other gacha games that I've played, but that's just my opinion.
• EXP and energy are extremely hard to come by as you progress through the game. You can recharge energy three times a day with the premium currency but it's not much.
• You only get two gnomes, which are the way to upgrade your production buildings (aka how you get supplies to actually play the game), and a third one if you pay. That's what the 'beginner's pack' I mentioned previously was for. And the times for upgrading your buildings can get VERY LONG. I've seen a screenshot of someone's castle being upgrading that still had 11 DAYS left to complete!
• FUCK the last boss fight in the "wizard's town" storyline. It didn't help that all the strategies that I found on reddit boiled down to "use Hollyberry and Pure Vanilla Cookie!!!" - I had neither at the time because I chose Dark Cacao as my free Ancient Cookie (and I don't regret it). I DID beat it eventually but it literally took me almost a month to beat. I'm pretty sure my team was Financier (or Eclair? I forget)/Cotton/Parfait/Herb/Vampire - all level 75 - with the scroll/watch/feather artifacts but I just BARELY made it though. Somehow Vampire and Herb Cookie managed to pull if off when the rest of the party died with only 200k HP left on the boss. I would also like to point out that Vampire Cookie is by far my strongest cookie in my lineup so if you don't have a strong Vampire Cookie of your own, try using you strongest single target damage dealer. Good luck!
• Master mode is UNFAIRLY hard and I'm currently struggling with 1-7... the first level took me two weeks to complete and I STILL have it on one star. I would put this in the "neutral" category but I'm certainly not alone in this opinion.

• Let's be real here, half of the charm of the game comes from the goofy NPCs. It's very fun just to mess with them, just make sure you save your game first before doing something unthinkable like moving their belongings.
• I thought the main plot was really well done and the Dark Brotherhood sidequest is quite fun too. I greatly prefer this game's Dark Brotherhood story instead of Skyrim's version.
• Quite a lot of mods to choose from on the Nexus to spruce up your game. You still have to deal with the 255 plugin limit, though. Use Wrye Bash!! It's a huge help when it comes to Oblivion modding.
• The cities are SO MUCH BETTER than Skyrim's towns! The cities actually feel like people are living there. :O !! And the Imperial City is just a blast to explore.
• I know that the... limited amount of voice actors might sound like a hinderance but it's more amusing than anything.

• I never know the names of the cities except for Bruma and the Imperial City.
• Modding the game is nowhere near as simple as modding Skyrim, but the more you use Wrye Bash the easier it gets. Never give up!

• I hate, hate, HATE dealing with the Oblivion gates. Easily the worst part of the game for me. I eventually just gave up and relied on "closecurrentobliviongate", not caring enough to find a sigil stone.
• The Fighter's Guild SUCKS when compared to the Companions (Skyrim)... and that's really saying something, since everyone (except me) hates the Companions' questline.

• The characters are much more balanced and fun to use. Cyan's Bushido is finally worth using!
• Lots of awesome sidequests and dungeons to complete. The end game is very fun and rewarding.
  
• It's difficult, but not TOO difficult. My regular team of Terra, Sabin, Mog and Gau were more than capable of taking down the majority of the bosses once I figured out the strategy behind the fight.
  
• The different outfits are so cute~ All the characters have modified default outfits and the sprite work is incredibly well done.
  
• Great translation.
• The music is excellent with a lot of remixes of classic Final Fantasy (and other classic JRPG) tunes.

• Some of the late game dungeons were too long and tedious.
• FUCK THAT RED DRAGON FIGHT

• Why the hell did I delay playing this game for so long? It's SO MUCH FUN! If you like arranging home decor items in The Sims, play this game. If you like to dream about decorating your future home, play this game. If you enjoy sandbox games, you'll most likely enjoy this game.
• There's a option to replace the bugs with broken glass and I was overjoyed to find that out. The developers actually listen to the player base and seem to take the most popular suggestions seriously.
• Lots of great player made workshop items.
• You can add pictures from your computer and make them into posters. I have a picture of my cat in my main office. :)
• I love the variety of easter eggs that the developers put in. Can't wait to have enough money to renovate Walter White's house!

• Took me forever to unlock the wall tile option. I would buy tiles for the walls and then have to sell them at a loss because I wasn't at the point of the game where I could use them. The reason why this is in the neutral section is that I did it more than once, which is 100% my error.
• I love using lots of workshop items when I'm decorating, but the majority of the time they don't count towards your score if you're flipping a house you bought. It's frustrating but it makes sense, I suppose. It might make the tasks too easy.
• How the fuck did Jerma make so much money in this game making shit like a mall inside the house (with paint for ice cream) when he was flipping houses? When I was watching some of his House Flipper videos he would have at least $200k more than I had at that point of the game. Maybe it's because he played an older version?

• Okay, now I remember why I held back on playing this game - the price. Not of the base game, but the DLC. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND playing the base game first if you're interested and then read the reviews of the DLCs before buying. I bought the base game plus all the DLCs out right now except the new farming one and honestly I haven't really bothered with the vast majority of the DLC addons.
• Sometimes it's difficult to make adjustments on hard to reach places on a wall and you'll end up clipping through items. It's nothing game breaking but it's annoying as hell when it happens.
• I wish there was a way to disable the timer under the mini map. There's no need to rush when you're flipping houses so I dunno why it's there.
• The music is nice but can get repetitive real fast.

• The infighting between some of the users is so petty and I fucking love it. Not between the teenagers, but between the adults.
• The soundtrack is great and catchy.

• I did not like the... I forget the name of it, but the gigantic wasteland map puzzle. Just wasn't fun for me. (edit: The Freelands!)

• From the front page of the link above: Dragonborn Gallery - A massive museum graces the capital of Solitude (right next to the blue palace), which houses space for nearly 3500 possible artifacts, quest displays and more from vanilla, Legacy and supported mods. I always love a good treasure hunt and the amount of content added to Skyrim is INSANE. I've never even come close to completing the museum.
• The amount of patches might sound annoying to deal with at first, but the FOMOD is easy to use with Mod Organizer 2 and I've never had any compatability problems with the mods than can be added to the museum.
• You can tell that an enormous amount of effort and care were put into this mod and it clearly shows. Despite the large (... VERY LARGE...) amount of files you need to use to get it going, it's very polished with not a lot of glitches.
• I think Auryen is quite a charming character and his voice acting is really well done.
• YOU CAN SKIP THE GHOST QUESTLINE BY TELLING THE PRIEST THAT YOU 'DON'T DEAL WITH GHOSTS' AT THE BEGINNING OF THE QUEST

• Of course, there's bound to be some small hiccups when using this mod alongside other mods but there's no glaring glitches. If you have a problem, try searching online to see if anyone else has had a similar problem before asking for help on their Discord. DON'T SKIP ANY OF THE QUESTS WITH THE CONSOLE.
• The auto sort option takes a long time but that's to be expected with the amount of content that can be displayed.

• I fucking hate Avram and his sidequests. They take SO MUCH TIME and you can't display anything in the meantime, plus Avram is just a boring character that I don't care for. HE NEVER STOPS HUMMING EITHER - I have misophobia and every time he started to hum when I was lugging him around to complete his terrible quests I would take out my frustration by attacking him. Pro tip - you can do that during his quests and he won't attack you back. :)
• Actually, all of the quests are the main downside for me when it comes to this mod. The part where you help clear out that cave (or two caves?) for excavation also takes HOURS to complete. Real life hours and in game hours.

• It's a decent time waster. I'm actually playing, uhhhhhh, three different "merge" games at the moment and I enjoy this one the most I suppose. (The other two are Merge Mansion and Merge Mayor.)
• I like Edwina and Kate, they're waaaay more likeable than the rest of the cast. (lol when Edwina is like "Your cafe is no match for mine!" at the end of her event I'm like YEAH I KNOW)
• I like the diversity of the cast and how the storyline is open about the LGBT characters' relationships. (However, see the negative section below on my opinion of the devs ruining that good point.) It's funny going into the comments of the Google Play reviews and seeing everyone complain about the Pride event, yet unaware that a good majority of the cast ARE ones that would celebrate Pride month.

• This has nothing to do with the game, but it tickles my funny bone that this review is right before the Mortal Kombat reviews.

• The main character, Amelia, is fucking insufferable. She does not know how to say 'thank you' to anyone that helps her out - seriously, she just does not seem appeciative to her friends and family for their help with her cafe. Also she interacts more with her love interest than her daughter. what a great main character ughHHH
• Yuka is a shitty friend and really annoying. Oh my GOD, we get it, you have a crush on Eve, just shut uppppppppp.
• every single time uncle sven is on screen i'm distracted by the way his hair goes into a horrible 90 degree angle, use a brush bitch
• The main background song repeats so fucking much that I had to turn it off.
• There's quite a lot of LGBT characters in the game, which is great! But. The way that the developers turned the "pride month" event into a giant cash grab makes me wonder if they're just doing it for the brownie points. Well, not "wonder" because there's a lot of complaints about it on the subreddit and it's well deserved critisism. lol every time a dev comes into a thread to explain themselves their post just get downvoted to -30 or more - speaking of that reddit this is one of the funniest fucking posts that i've ever read
• Like every other merge game, board space is limited and the game really pushes you to make in-app purchases.
• i fucking hate that customer who sticks his tongue out after you fill his fucking order!!!!

• Wasn't expecting Kabal to end up my favorite character, especially since he scared the shit out of me as a child. (It was the googly eyes and creepy fatalities.) I really do prefer the 'good guy that is trying to repent for his past crimes' persona in this game than his 'naive Black Dragon lackey that does whatever Kano says' persona in MK11. And I adore his pigtails, fuck the haters. Giving him that hairstyle is the only good thing Kano has done.
  
• I never, ever thought I would say this but they actually made Stryker... likeable. Very likeable, actually, he ended up being my second favorite character. (Horrible intro line aside, of course...) I love it when people are like "omfg he's so boring and normal" but that's actually quite endearing to me. Of course, the haters (lmao i dunno) never say anything about Sonya, who's 'normal' like him but just has fancy tech. Wish he had more time to shine in this game and I'm hoping that he's in MK12. ... Now that I think about it, the main reason I didn't care for him as a child was solely because he looked like Uncle Joey from Full House in MK3/UMK3, and we ALL KNOW Uncle Joey was the worst father figure on the show. Right?
  
• I actually enjoyed the story much more than MKX and MK11's stories. Well, minus that scene with Sindel in Nightwolf's (who's a complete badass) chapter. If you know, then you know. But the rest of the plot was actually really well done. I remember playing this game on the PS3 when I also was trying out Final Fantasy XIII and enjoying this game's story a lot more. (Then again, the plot in FF13 was just... meh. But I never thought I would play a Mortal Kombat game with a more enjoyable story than a Final Fantasy game.)
  
• It was great to see the characters' personalities fleshed out more. I think the only characters that had decent character development prior to this game would be Liu Kang, Kung Lao (from their story in Shaolin Monks), and maybe Johnny Cage? In the previous games the main characters here would have a few lines in Deception's story mode and that was pretty much it. (Oh, and MK4's endings, but... yeah.)
• I LOVE THE BABALITIES! Uh, except for Jade and Stryker's, those two are actually pretty scary...
  
• I enjoyed the tag team mode a lot.

• I never went far into the challenge tower on the PC version because I don't think I ever beat the fight that has you ground pound multiple Barakas as Jax.
• I don't see the fucking ring on Kabal's finger that's supposed to be a easter egg and I can't find any pictures of it online!! It's supposed to be on his hand during this closeup - trigger warning for, you know, a man burning to death - and I see a line on his finger where a ring would be but it's the same color and texture of the rest of his burning skin. Plus it's on the wrong hand but whatever. (This is going into the neutral section because I'm dumb and this really bothers me!!)

• The female outfits are fucking terrible. Minus the classic female ninja skins, I guess.
• The jumpscare in the Krypt is pretty stupid.
• I did not like the concept behind Cyber Sub Zero. We all knew that he would come back as a human in the next game so why bother with making him a cyborg?

• Kenshi's so cute. :) I've always liked him in the 3D Midway games and it was great to finally see him with a personality. Not the best dad, but, hey, it looks like he's patched things up nicely with Takeda. (Uh, kinda, if the krypt in MK11 is canon... but I don't think it is?)
  
• Ended up liking Erron Black a lot more than I thought I would - I usually don't like the "morally grey and mysterious" characters in video games. Also, uh, he had the best alternative outfit. ;)
  
• I LOVE the fact that Scorpion and Sub-Zero are friends now. (Alright, maybe not "friends" yet.) The tea scene was very cute well done.
  
• I liked the Mileena and Tanya relationship a lot, even though, well, Tanya isn't the most loyal character... but it's nice to see Mileena in love.

• good god i was very salty when fujin was not a dlc fighter BUT he's in MK11 (and he's wonderful) so it was worth the wait
  
• A lot of people don't like the muted colors but I don't mind it.
• The plot was meh, I liked MK9's plot more and MK11's slightly more. I thought the "kombat kids" were alright but definately the least interesting aspect of the story.

• A good majority of the human faces look... really off? I thought that the skin looked... plastic-y and the smaller eyes didn't really help. Also, Sub-Zero's skin has a weird purple tint to it in some scenes. (See above.)
• I honestly don't remember exploring the Krypt in this game lmao... I just remember making a beeline to get Erron Black's kutie icon and never going to it again.
• D'vorah gets her own story chapter but not Kenshi?
• wtf why did they whitewash tanya, i know that they fixed her skin color when she was made playable but still

• The graphics are amazingly well done. I can't think of a single bad thing about the visuals. Plus, every character all the human characters are just really, really, really attractive. UNFAIR.
• I love Fujin!! Never thought that he would end up being my favorite character in the game but! I just adore him so much. The writers really did a great job with his character and I'm glad they made him and Raiden have vastly different personalities. It's a nice balance. This scene from Aftermath is my favorite moment in the story. Here's hoping he's in MK12!
  
• Despite coming back as a jobber villain, I'm very happy that Kabal's playable in MK11. He was my favorite character in MK9 after all! I do miss his Hatsune Miku ponytails, oh well... I also prefer him being a good guy but it is his younger, Black Dragon self after all. (Well, the non-revenant version.)
  
• Jade's back!! Despite her... sudden relationship with Kotal, I'm glad she's in the game and better than ever. She's my favorite female character in the series. :)
  
• As usual, Nightwolf is a complete badass and I love his moments in Aftermath. It's great to get more backstory on him, too, and I really hope Grey Cloud is in MK12.
  
• I like Erron Black a lot, as I did in MKX, even though his new penchant for southern idioms is rather cliche.
  
• I'm glad that Scorpion and Sub Zero are still buddies. it makes shipping them easier ;)
  
• Sooo glad that Skarlet is her own character now! I mean, it sucks that she's pretty much just a tool used to serve Shao Kahn, but at least she has a personality this time! And I love her voice, I know that some people don't like it but I am certainly not one of them.
  
• For the most part, I like the majority of characters in the game. It's a pretty solid roster and the new characters are decent. The guest characters are cool, even though I never play as them.
  
• I LOVE exploring the Krypt! So, so much better than it was in MK9 and MK10. If you're wondering how I changed the player character in the second screenshot, I used the MK11Hook mod.
  
• The customization aspects are pretty cool...
• ... but some of the outfits are just amazing.
  
• I adore all the Friendships!! My three favorites Friendships belong to Fujin, Jade and Nightwolf.
  
  
• As someone who is garbage at fighting games, I really appeciate the option to have the AI fight most of the towers for you. Most of the best AI setups for the characters have them spamming the same move over and over again (hope you like the animation of Erron Black pouring acid on his opponent playing at least twice a minute!!) but it's preferable to having to repeat the fight over and over again because I can't land decent combos.
• I use NVIDIA Ansel to take some of my screenshots and I find it really fun to play around with the camera options to get unique looking screenshots. (The majority of my screenshots are just from my default Bandicam screenshot hotkey. You do have to adjust the Ansel options every time you load up the game and it's just easier to spam pressing the hotkey I have set up with Bandicam to get a good shot.) I do need to fix the anti-aliasing... spikyness (?), as you can see in the shots below.
  

• Not a fan of the premium currency, of course. Then again, you get it for free while completing towers and the tutorials and I haven't had to use it yet.
• I'm never sure if I like the story or not. Some parts are good, some are bad. The writing is pretty consistant, but then you get stupid changes to some characters, well, character...
• Speaking of characters, it was bullshit to see Dark Raiden literally fade away from the story. I suppose it could make sense lore wise, but it would've been cool to see more of him.
  
• I like Mileena a lot, but it's kinda obvious that the main reason she was DLC was because of all the backlash about her not being in the game. Well, maybe she was planned all along to be in the final DLC pack (was it the final one? idfk), who knows.
• I certainly hope the rumor about some developers developing PTSD from researching fatalities isn't true.
• A lot of fighting game players state that MK11 is a step down from MK10 solely when it comes to the actual fighting mechanics. I don't really care, all I know is that I sucked at playing MK10 and I suck at playing MK11 as well.

• The entire game requiring you to be online the whole time you're playing it. What the FUCK. If you haven't played the game, that doesn't seem too bad... until you get disconnected randomly when you're almost done with a ladder. And that WILL happen eventually.
• Quite a few characters had retcons that did them no favors, Sindel being far and away the most obvious one. Here's a great post on /r/HobbyDrama about the drastic change to her character and backstory. I really liked Sindel pre, well, MK9 so it's a shame to see the writer's butcher her.
• Other characters that had weird retcons that I didn't like were Jade (her relationship with Kotal out of fucking nowhere, like whut???), Kabal (see below for my rant on his stupid ladder ending), and MAYBE Erron Black if the writer's forgot that he's hundreds of years old and not just a random cowboy merc. I don't think he has any intros with Shang Tsung about giving him his extended life but then again Skarlet seems to hint at the fact that he's more than what he seems? ("Does Kotal understand what you are?") Who fucking knows.
• Kabal's stupid fucking ladder ending was so fucking bad that I just have to mention it. Here you go. (I love how fucking BORED he sounds, though.) Okay, so, his character ladder mentions that he has a crush on Sareena but that's it. Literally. Like Jade and Kotal, their relationship came out of fucking nowhere but at least those two had moments in the story together. It's so fucking weird. (The fact that I ship him and Stryker is not the source of my ire, I swear it.) And he also wants to raise a family? Shut the fuck up. I heard a theory that his ending was actually supposed to be Noob Saibot's ending, which would make more sense when it came to Sareena's appearance. Plus it doesn't even look like Kabal - but then ago, it doesn't look like Bi-Han either. Whatever. I fucking hate this ending so much. I don't even like the weird ass Bichon Frise dog that Sareena is holding. Why does he have a fucking TANK AND BATTLESHIP IN HIS FRONT YARD?! Thank GOD the ladder endings are not canon. Oh, and for comparision, here's his MK9 ending, which is MUCH BETTER. (Holy shit, I NEVER noticed that his respirator is actually deattached and broken in the gameplay before the ending starts!)
• Sonya's VA... oof. Just oof. I think she actually sounded the worst during her own story mode chapter! But at least she's not as bad as that Sub Zero skin VA...

• well it's my favorite video game of all time so... "fun" fact, though, in real life I'll say that Final Fantasy VI is my favorite game instead (when it's really my second favorite) because I cannot pronounce the word "ogre" properly. WOW
• By far the most intricate and creative game on the Nintendo 64. Games like Super Mario 64 and Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time might be more popular and groundbreaking, but the amount of customization and ways to play the game AND story are just so unique. I've completed this game multiple times and every playthrough was different.
• I love the story, I love the characters, I love the lore and worldbuilding... I mean, it's hard for me to pick out things that I DON'T like. I'll probably add more things I like to this review in the future!

• You can't recruit all of the special characters in one playthrough without cheats. It makes sense in context and gameplay-wise, but it does kinda suck. :I

• Can be difficult to get into, especially if you've never played a tactical JRPG before.
• In the same vein as the point above, if you're having trouble with a level it can be hard to grind for money to train your troops.
• Lack of alignment changing items can make it tough to change classes. I actually do recommend using the item dupe trick on the scrolls/urns you come across if you're having trouble with upgrading your units' classes. (It would be much easier if you could change alignment through training.)

• It's an easier, less P2W version of AFK Arena. If you haven't played AFK Arena before, I would recommend this game over AFK Arena.
• I love some of the character designs. The males actually have great character designs on par with the females for once!

• The daily reset in EST (eastern US, where I live) is at 3 AM, which fucking sucks, but I'm sure it's just time zone goofiness.

• If you played AFK Arena, you know that Ainz is THE base breaking character. (At least he was before I stopped playing the game.) Well, in this game, it's Anastasia. The further you get in the game, the more you'll need her. If you opponent has a Anastasia and you don't, there's a very high chance you will lose. If you don't build your Anastasia up and make her the strongest character in your party, she'll die which will lead to your party dying without her. There's really no counter to her, except for a shield-breaking character like Beo. Thankfully, unlike Ainz, she's a Super Rare and not a One Time Limited Ultra Rare that Will Only be Around for a Month.
• The fact that I mentioned this game as another "version" above is generous, because it's pretty much a 95% copy of that game but with new paint slapped on it. There's next to no originality in the game mechanics and some of the characters have the same kit as AFK Arena characters! For example, Molliere = a female Lucius, right down to the same special.
• The same events happen every other week with the same rewards. It's dull and repetative.
• The side stories that open up more Runes are VERY PRECISE when it comes to making your movement on the board. If you misstep, the only way to correct your error is to load your save or restart the map. The fact that you can't skip any cutscenes makes it even more painful.
• Boring storyline that is added to the game sporatically at the game updates. That means that you'll go chapters without getting story cutscenes but a update might add the plot back to whatever chapter you're on and you'll be lost since you missed chapters of plot. I would just recommend skipping the storyline all together, it's nothing even close to interesting or intriging. The option of having your own say in some parts seems pretty cool at first but whatever choice you'll pick doesn't matter.
• The female shopkeeper has the most annoying, ear grating voice that I've ever fucking heard and it seems like she only has two lines that she'll yell out. I don't even know what she's saying because I don't understand Japanese. Oh, and every time you change the shop category her voice lines reset! Wonderful.
• Lots and lots and lots of pop up ads, I guess the developers stole that ascept from AFK Arena too.
• The new characters are very boring. I can't even remember the sqiurrel girl's name - nvm I found it - but her bizarre, uh, breast proportions do her no favors. Of course, the new characters are all typical attractive females with stereotypical personalities. (The nun acts like a nun, the maid acts like a maid...) I can't remember the last new male character.
• The developers can't really wrap their heads across the concepts of listening to feedback and how to advertise their game so I dunno how much longer the US servers are gonna be around for. If you want to try this game out, do yourself a big favor and don't spend a penny on it.

• Challenging but there are different difficulties. I would advise playing on Easy/No Grind mode if you're not used to Pokemon ROM Hacks or if you're like me and just want a different experience without the struggle.
• I love the Random modes! You can even find tune what parts of the game will be randomized. I think I have my current save on all the random options, which leads to Bug Trainers having legendaries. There's no option to change the gym leader's types but that's okay.
• Almost every Pokemon is in the game with custom sprite work for the newer Pokemon.
• Very polished with seamless gameplay. Probably the smoothest Pokemon ROM Hack that I've ever played - no glitches or other hangups.
• Neat additions like the Dynamax system and Mega Evolutions.

• It's a drag to have the same allied trainers for the Dynamax tents but that's such a minor issue to complain about.

• Every time the game has a big update it seems like the best thing to do would be to start a new game. It makes sense technically but it's an annoyance.

• Lots and lots of text to read and it's all very well written.
• Huge amount of lore and worldbuilding.
• Very detailed "journal" to remind you of quests and characters.
• This is an odd thing to mention but it makes sense for this game - I LOVE the color scheme of the UI and pixel art. You can see what I'm talking about on the screenshots here. It would be a cool color scheme for a webpage!

• It's difficult for me gameplay wise but I think that's because I'm not used to text based RPGs.
• You'll have to revisit areas multiple times but there is fast travelling.

• The battle system was simple but fun. It was nice having Pluto as overpowered as she was in the anime/manga and I enjoyed having my favorite senshi, Sailor Jupiter, being a powerhouse as well. I think my end game party was Moon, Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn and Venus.
• I adore the sprite work done in this game!
  
• The fan translation was pretty good, although I forget which one I used.
• Makoto: "I'm going to Canada."

• i didn't get all the puzzle pieces lol, i think i was two or three away from completing it
• The story was nothing special but not terrible either.

• Mercury's solo boss, however, was TERRIBLE. There's a patch here that makes the fight easier and while I didn't use it, I wish that I did.
• The main part of town was annoying to navigate at the beginning of the game and I got lost more than once.

• Viktor is my favorite character in the entire series. He's hilarious, brash and oddly kind-hearted. I dunno why everyone thrists over Flik while Viktor is right there. His storyline is my favorite part of both Suikoden I and II.
  
• My second favorite character after Viktor would be Cleo but for some reason I don't have any screenshots of her on my hard drive. >( Flik would be a close runner up for second place, though, and I was overjoyed to see him and Viktor return in Suikoden II. (... not really a spoiler. Come on, the games are more than twenty years old now.)
  
• I know the script gets a lot of flack, but I like it. It adds to the charm!
  
• Even though the battle and war systems aren't as polished as the next game's, it's still fun.

• You can't run without having a member with a Holy Rune in your party. And since you can only have one rune eqiupped per character, that means you have to lug around a character that can't cast a rune in battle if you want to actually run in towns and dungeons. Very annoying. (I used Gremio for that role.)

• As mentioned in the Suikoden I review, Viktor's storyline is my favorite part of the game. Naturally, he's also my favorite character in this game as well. I love the scenes with him and Annabelle. :')
  
• Oh man, Georg Prime is so cool. Even if you don't know about his role in Suikoden V, he's a absolute beast in battle. Do yourself a favor and play Suikoden V if you liked this game, Georg is a main character in that game and even more of a badass.
  
• Flik is tied with Georg as my second favorite character, actually, and probably would be in the #2 slot if I haveb't played Suikoden V. I enjoyed this cast of characters more than Suikoden I's characters. Don't get me wrong, Suikoden I had some amazing characters as well, but Suikoden II really went the extra mile to give as many of the supporting allies their moment(s) to shine.
  
• Oh my god, the cooking minigame is amazing. I can't believe I almost forgot to mention that. I also cannot believe that the concept of this mini game hasn't been adapted into a video game of its own. (Or maybe it has, I dunno. There's plenty of video games that are about cooking, but not like this.)
  

• You can only play the cooking minigame a certain amount of times - about ten? - before never being able to play it again.
• You can't recruit Kasumi AND Valeria. :(
• The story might be amazing but the messy script does it no favors. Lots of "!!!!!!!!!!!" and "..........." moments. There's also some untranslated and misleading text (Shu's recruitment being the most well known example - some of the lines said by Nanami confuse Apple with Shu), but it's rare.
  

I apologize for the quality and questionable content aspect ratio of the screenshots below. I only realized AFTER I uploaded a ton of these to my tumblr that the aspect ratio was kinda (?) off.

• Edge is my second favorite character in the series, with Viktor being a obvious first place. No, I'm not kidding. I think he's great. He's interesting and legitimately hilarious. I think he's smart, too - I mean, if I was recruited into a war I would just hang out by the dogs and restaurant and complain about being bored. (lmao i wrote 'boring' there at first... well, that too) I also think that SO MUCH MORE could be done with his character (and the Star Dragon Sword, which is, you know, a TRUE RUNE) but I'll save that rant for the negative section below if I feel like ranting about it.
  
• If you've ever wandered down the "anti-bikini armor for females in video games" rabbit hole (?? idfk what to call it), you've most likely seen Chris Lightfellow rated high among any list that rates female warrior's appearances in media. Then again, maybe not, because I read one that applauded her main outfit but hated her alternative outfit (first screenshot) because "the leggings seem too tight". ... oh, really, you don't say. Anyway, Chris is an amazing character in her own right and deserves more recognition besides being on inane lists like that. She's a brave young woman and a fantastic knight, but has her faults just like any well written character. I never get tired of watching her story. It also irks me when people say that Suikoden III has a great female main character but fail to mention the great SUPPORTING female characters as well - Lucia, Queen, Cecile, Yun and Aila just to name a few.
  
• I adore the Budehec side story. For a completely optional storyline, it really does shine with a lot of heart and is actually quite a relaxing sidequest. Thomas is my favorite Tenkai star in the series. :)
  
• Out of the three main chapters, Geddoe's chapters are easily the best (IMHO, but I'm not alone here) and that's mostly because of the great dynamic of his mercenary group.
  
• So I could go on and on about everything I love about this game, and maybe I will in the future (oh no!), but the plot and (the majority of) the characters are very well written. I think it's a excellent way to end the I-II-III trilogy.
  
• The play is the greatest video game minigame that I've ever, uh, played. I know that everyone says that it's the cooking minigame in Suikoden II, and while I consider that a very close runner up, you can only go through the cooking games a certain amount of times.

• I did not like the bishop and his cohorts at all.
• If you don't have a Suikoden II save file that has a Suikoden I save file loaded into THAT save, you lose out on two great plays. That means that Edge is only castable in the Romeo role, which is... strange. But it's a real waste to not be able to mess around with the scripts, especially since the plays are longer and the characters have more lines.
  

These will be for the PSP and PC versions. Obviously some, like the voice acting, will only apply to the PC port. All of the screenshots are from my first Reborn playthrough.

• i love lans omg~ He's tied with Terra from FFVI for my favorite video game character ever. The updated script suited him much more than most of the other characters. I love the fact that he has such courage and yet will admit to feeling fear before a battle - when I saw the music box scene (second screenshot) for the first time in the PSX version I was blown away by his humility. Every single scene with him in it is so well done. It's just a shame that CODA 3 is such a chore to get to...
  
• I loved the vast majority of the characters. Even the minor characters had a good amount of backstory to them. I'm also extremely happy that Ozma was given her own storyline in the remakes!
  
• Fantastic story. I know the different alliances can be confusing to new players, but if you're not sure about who's who, read the Warren Report. The Law (lol i typed "Lans" at first) route is my favorite way to play the game.
  
• The voice acting ranged from 'incredible' (Denam, Catiua and Ozma would be my top three) to 'good but doesn't fit the character' (Arycelle...).
  

• I'm still up in the air about the "random buff cards" aspect that Reborn brought around. The animation and gathering of the cards just prolongs the battle by a lot but I suppose it could be helpful to newer players.
• They nerfed the Paladin class. >( I don't care though, Lans is getting all my stat boosting charms and food regardless!!
• this is 1000% saltiness on my part but wtf isn't ob64 taking place around the same time?? and yet there's no mention of palatinus at all. Then again, Valeria is quite a long way from Palatinus if I recall correctly. BUT SOME ACKNOWLEDGEMENT WOULD'VE BEEN NICE!! I think the closest thing to a nod at OB64 would be Lans mentioning the hero of Xenobia travelling to a faraway land at the end of CODA 3.

• My main complaint with the game is the extremely tedious quests you have to do in order to unlock everything. Mostly having to complete the Palace of the Dead, a 100+ floor dungeon, more than once if you want to see all the cutscenes. The Shaman sidequest took me fucking forever to complete as well. Using the AI to fight for you sounds good at first but when it comes to the PotD and the tiles that your characters can fall down to their permadeath... well, I don't recommend using the AI for those maps.
